Is brass making a comeback ?

At first I was dead against it.The mere idea was simply out of the question! But then during my decor image surfing of major designers and magazines I was shocked to see some period style kitchens with cabinet hardware and light fixtures in unadulterated polished and/or unlaquered-aged BRASS! And I'm surprised to say that I loved it! Has anyone else heard of it's return??

Here is the thing: quality pieces you actually love never go out of style.

The current vogue for cherry cabinents, stainless steel and granite is only going out of style because everyone goes for the same cookie cutter look. A truly well done kitchen with those elements will still work years from now, but just picking out the pieces because they are in makes it dated.
