color for kitchen walls?

Im redo my kitchen. I'm painting the kitchen cabinets a dark brown color and the addition of brass buttons difficulties. Also, the addition of new desks waiting granite. Granite is mixed, but mostly browns and beige. I would add the red, oranges details (Curtains and pictures) I was thinking of making the walls of a dark beige color. Any ideas? Also Im gonna sorta a French country theme. Would that make the kitchen very dark walls or should I clear it up? Just thought I would make it look welcoming. Im thinking of fruits photos too. Any impute would be appreciated. thanks!

A dark beige wall can cause too dark. A lighter beige would be too monchromatic (read boring). For a more updated French country look, try using the yellow gold with a plus / brown on the walls. You cabinets that "pop" against the red color and add the orange accent pieces would also be good. I hope this was helpful.
