Remodeling, hardware finish help?!?

I'm re-decorating and came across a stomp. My living room opens up to my kitchen. I purchased kitchen cabinets knobs in a Stainless Steel Finish. I wanted to purchase a curtain rod, chandelier and light fixture but their finishes are different. They come in satin nickel, brushed nickel, and polished nickel finish. I want everything to look cohesive, which why I'm not sure what to do? What is the difference between the finishes? Are the comparable to stainless?

Polished nickel would be your best match. Satin and brushed wouldn't be shiny, which stainless steel is.
