What do I get my 25 year old bf of 9 months for christmas?
Ok first of all, he works at a hardware distributing company so no tools. He lives in an apartment so no housewares. He has a stocked liqour cabinet. His buddy just gave him a set of golf clubs. He reads too fast to buy books for (he'll finish a 400 page book in a day). He is a country boy displaced in the big city for work. He travels by plane a lot (bought him luggage for his bday so nix that) Doesnt entertain much. has a new truck. no pets, allergic to animals. catholic, sorta. not into the ipod, mp3 line of stuff.
Thats about it. OH! I"M a graduate student and funds are low. We've set limits to $50 total. And the person that suggested the proposal, that won't work either. He's not ready and too traditional to accept from a girl.

my ideas include:
1.heart puzzle- get a piece of cardboard and draw/trace a heart onto it. cut the heart out and color/ cover it red. In the center write his name. Cut it into puzzle shapes with his name being in one or two pieces.(depending on how big you make the heart) Give him the puzzle excluding the piece(s) with his name, Let him put it together and then after he realizes that there is a piece (or two) missing. Walk over to him and give him the missing piece(s), while saying "because you complete me" this is a romantic idea that is very simple and inexpensive.
2. if you are good with words and expression, you could write him a poem for christmas explaing how much you love him and are thankful for him.
3.message in a bottle-write him a letter and put in an old liquor/ champaigne bottle with a cork at the end of the letter you could put a quote that makes you think of him or a memory you share together.
(i am doing all 3 ideas. i am putting the poem in a bottle too!)
