My clip on hair extensions (like pony tails) always get icky-why?
I've purchased at least 6 or more - probably closer to 10 different hair pieces - mainly from Sally's Beauty Supply but also from other places. I purchase the appropriate fake hair shampoo and conditioner. When I first get them they're soft and shiny but after wearing them for a little while they get "matted" underneath and forget trying to comb them out - then they frizz. The shampoo and conditioner is worthless. So as a result I get one and wear it for a couple of months maybe until it gets looking icky and then have to purchase another one --- what's up with that? Does anyone know?
Follow the care instructions on the packaging. Store them in plastic bags, separately, wrapped in a satin scarf if you can spare it.. Use mousse (for curly pieces), hair sheen spray (for straight pieces) and a soft vent brush on them. Don't expect them to last very long. Take them off as soon as you can and never sleep in them. They're made cheaply, but some of the ethnic beauty stores and online stores sell a higher quality product. Sally's gone the cheap route! The best hair out there is Remi. They make Remi Goddess, Remi is made by a co. called Sensationelle http://www.sensationnel.com/ <-- that's there site. Don't be put off by the color of the models... the hair is suitable for all women.
Peace
