Gold Brushed Nickel
Just bought a house with glass closet doors. They have ugly gold metal trim. What can I do to make better?

I want to buy a ceiling fan with brushed nickel and have bathroom fixtures the same. Is there some way I can paint the gold? Thanks

I would suggest you paint the ugly gold trim in black..it will accent the glass and the brushed nickel nicely without being obtrusive. If you try to paint it in silver..chances are it will look cheap compared to the fan and fixtures. I would paint it out with tremclad...the flat black will look great. Tremclad is made for metal. I have used it on new and antique hardware, and lighting..even to touch up door knobs.
