Filler metal or is there a handle pull might get?

I'm Cabinet reshuffle this really great old metal. The door lock is gone, leaving behind a pretty big hold which is about 3 / 4 "diameter. I do not need a lock, and the thing is closed decently well. Is there a way to fill this hole then use a normal door to pull it, or there is a SUPER WIDE pull drawer rod that would work?

Buying a replacement lock it at a home or find a Drawer Pull Knob covering the hole and use a large washer with a small hole to grab screw on the back --- they're called "washers" ---- hardware or home centers carry.
