How are you supposed to handle the root ball when transplanting flowers?

I've been told two different things: 1. Do not disturb the roots compacted when to take them out of its container and replant. 2. Go ahead and loosen the roots by pressing, etc. before transplanting. What causes less trauma?

it depends on the flower, some plants like Errico, not like there are in all dissturd roots, while other plants, it is important to tease the roots and to remove the damaged, if not tease when required by the root system can contiue to go round and round as if it were in the boat, then end rot the club and the plant dies, when plants byeing avoid plants that are required allready pot
