Is there any solvent that will get off a metal cabinet hardware backplate glued to wood?
I'm going to cover the area afterwards with the larger bin pulls, so I'm willing to apply a little stain over it if needed. I just cannot figure out how to get these off!!! Any ideas?
1st check the pulls for little screws on the inside of drawer
A hot air tool will generally loosen the adhesive.
The glue will either become brittle or gooey from the heat, depending on which glue was used.
Grab the Hot pulls with pliers pull while heating, finally toss hot pulls in a can of cold water.
Also careful not to burn the wood if ya do just lightly sand it.
