Working on My Home

I am a new homeowner with my husband and we are very excited about it .  We have been dying to buy a house for years, and we finally saved up enough money to put a down payment on a home .  The house we bought is in a great position and has a lot of character.  It is a bit of a fixer upper and we are so ready to get to work on it.  It is not going to take months or years of refurbishing , which is a good thing. We have to keep saving money so we can get it all done, but it wont take too long to save some money.

We just bought some discount home furnishings to use for our new home .  There are a lot of small things we can do to our home to get it looking like a whole new house again .  We bought some discount door knobs so we can replace all of our door knobs and we also bought some new faucets.  We really like the brushed metal look, so that's what we are going to do as far as the color goes for all of those appliances . We also want to replace all of the blinds in our house with new wood blinds.  It's going to look so great !

The other changes we might make to the house are ones that will probably cost more money.  The doors in our home could really stand to be replaced, so we may have to get these.  Also, I would like to replace our kitchen cabinets because they don't provide a lot of room for storage.  I love the style of them though, so I will probably shop for a style that looks really similar the ones that are there now.  So like I mention before , there's not an unmeasurable amount of work to be done, but there are definitely updates that need to be made to the house .  I cannot wait for it all to be done !
